Honeydew Ice Pops

Summer holidays have begun and I love it. The first two days I was sceptical whether these are really the SUMMER holidays or the autumn ones, but since yesterday I am certain that it is still July and not October or something. See how it started!

But now we can enjoy the sun and the warm weather just like it should be :). According to this, I made some Ice Pops, which are not only delicious, but also not too sweet, fresh, without fat, easy and vegan. You won’t be needing a lot of time, they are put together very fast. I do not want to detain you any longer, you’d better prepare these pops, put them in the freezer and go outside. So here is the recipe:

Honeydew Ice Pops:

(makes 4 pops à 100 ml (= 4 fl oz))

160 g (5,5 oz) cantaloupe
160 g (5,5 oz) honeydew
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice

Put both kinds of melon in two different bowls and add one tablespoon of brown sugar and lemon juice to each sort. Mash the fruit with an immersion blender. Place one of the mixtures into the ice pop molds and try to fill in the same amount of liquid into every mold. Place in the freezer for one hour. Leave the other mixture in the fridge.
After 60 minutes, put out the molds and add the other liquid. Place in ice sticks. Let set in the freezer for 4 more hours.
