Since December has started, my brother has asked me to make him a hot chocolate each and every day, sometimes even twice. He loves to drink it, because it contains real chocolate, not that cocoa powder stuff.
I will give you the one-person-portion in this recipe, as I use it to whip up a hot chocolate in no time. You can easily multiply it, of course.
Best Hot Chocolate
(for 1 cup)
240 ml (1 cup) milk
50 g (2 3/4 oz) milk chocolate
spray cream
candy for topping
Chop the chocolate as shown in picture above. Heat the milk in a pot. Stir in the chocolate until it is completely dissolved. (I loved stirring it with my baby whisk. :P)
Then transfer into a cup. Top with cream and spread your favourite candy on top – my brother loves sprinkles.
And then: Enjoy!
Please excuse the bad picture I posted yesterday… of course you deserve a better one. Here you see the earrings I made yesterday again, hope you like them.
Today I got a recipe for you. i#m totally freaking out about gingerbread. Somehow this is the king of sweet that makes Christmas for me. I need to say it is a very flexible sort of sweet, you can make several kinds of shapes, decorations… So far, I have made some (30) gingerbread men together with my brother.
And the recipe is easy peasy.
Gingerbread Cookies
(makes about 30 gingerbread people)
250 g (9 oz.) sugar beet syrup
50 g (1/4 cup) sugar
100 g (1/4 cup) margarine
350 g (3 cups) flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp gingerbread spices
Mix everything up. knead with your hands on a slightly floured surface. Roll out about 1/2 cm () thick. Cut out cookies and bake for about 15 minutes (or untli you can remove them from the baking sheet easily).
Decorate as you like.
Note: The cookies are quite hard the 1st day. If you wait they will become soft (2nd or 3rd day).
These are the buddies we created:
normal gingerbread man
moustache gingerbread man
nervous gingerbread man
heartbroken gingerbread man
surprised gingerbread man (à la Shrek)
wild gingerbread man
Have a sweet day!
I had a busy afternoon today, so it was hard to prepare a long post. Please excuse that and look at these cute candy-style earrings I made in no time today. Just used red and white polyer clay and formed it like candy hearts. Baked in the oven for 30 minutes – that’s it.
Good night, then!
