22nd December 2012//Mouse au Chocolat

mousse au chocolat

My BF and I have our 3rd anniversary today… 3 years full of emotion, but especially full of love. I am blessed I can experience this, which gives me a reason to celebrate this date.

mousse au chocolat

Special date -special dessert, this is the motto. And what would match our relationship more than the crèe de la crème, a mousse auch chocolat? Actually, it is not that difficult to prepare a good
mousse. If you just follow the instructions.

This book contents a very good step-by-step instriction.
Here we go:

Mousse au Chocolat:
(makes 4 servings)

85 g (3 oz) semi-sweet chocolate of good quality
2 tbsp water
10 g (1/3 oz) butter
3 large, fresh eggs, separated into egg whites and egg yolks

Chop the chocolate finely. Mix it in a small pan with the water and gently melt it in a water bath. Do not heat it too fast.

When the chocolate is smooth, remove the pan from the water bath and gently stir in the butter. Let the chocolate sit for a minute.

Beat the egg whites in the meantime until they are stiff. Stir the egg yolks into the chocolate. Now add the beaten egg whites in three parts. Stir them carefully in using a whisk.

Transfer into clean cups and store in the fridge for at least two hours. Serve within the next 12 hours.

21st December 2012//Homemade Cosmetics

We all have this one friend, who really deserves to relax and have some time for himself/herself. But such people mostly do not take this time.

Therefore, they deserve gifts which make them take time for wellness.

And what is more relaxing than a nice warm bath? It is so easy to make your own bath salt. I have researched on several pages and they all said pretty much the same.

20th December 2012//Favourite Chocolate

Here we’ve got one of the easiest last minute presents. All you need is… chocolate. And some creativity. Oh, not even that, if you know what the person likes.
For 3 chocolates, I used 180 g (6 oz) of chocolate, even trew together different sorts: Lindt, Heidel, Milka…

favourite chocolate

Melt the chocolate over a waterbath until it is smooth. (I added some nuts and cinnamon to the melted choc) Pour it onto a baking sheet and top with the desired ingredients. Two of mine got marshmallows and sprinkles.

The third one ~deluxe~ I topped with cranberries and golden sprinkles.
