Yesterday I showed you a collection of my DIY Christmas cards. I wondered whether I should have showed you these earlier… This morning, anyway, I woke up in a winter fairytale. Everything was white, the tree outside my window – covered in snow. The small streets were not cleaned yet and you could see the footprints of a few people who had made their way to the bakery or to their cars. It was just the perfect 1st Advent weather, which convinced me today was the right day to give you some Christmas ideas. I hope these cards can inspire you a little.
In Bulgaria, I bought this very cute blue and white X-mas paper. This is what I made of it.

This one is my favourite. Someone very special will recieve it.

This year I’m keeping it simple. I used ribbon and green origami paper tor these. Then decorated with fineliner.

I so so so so love teddy bears. Don’t you?

Santa’s reindeers in front of a golden background. Deluxe.

P.S.: This was my Advent calendar’s content yesterday. Yaay the first one is always very special :). Enjoy your Sunday.

Let me explain some things. A lot has hppened during the past 4 weeks. In October, I was in Bulgaria for one week to visit my grndparents and friends there. When I’m done selecting pictures, I will tell you more about this wonderful trip. Some dys later, we visited my uncle and his family to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. Another post shall show you what we did there, I promise it was spectacular! For two weeks, I did not have a kitchen, which was quite a hard time… But now I have a wonderful new one! And I love it! And I will bake a lot of things to give you Christmas ideas!
SO what is this post bput, actually? Well, I got my driver’s licence last week. So glad I managed it. I was lucky to have a super teacher who was both patient and entertaining. :D

Therefore I made him some cookies to say “Thanks”. :)

Recipe from Bake at 350

Are you already in a Halloween-y mood? I am. Especially every Tuesday, when I have to get up at 6.15 am to be in time for my earliest lesson, which starts at 6.55, before the regular first lessons at school. It is creepy enough to be the only one who wakes up when it is still dark outside, but wandering through my room, afraid that any piece of Latin grammar might jump out of my school bag and confront me with its difficulties makes it even worse.

So… this feeling inspired the design of these cupcakes and tiny cake. I used my oreo muffin recipe for this, because my brother loves it. I put some of the dough into my mini cake pan (11,5 cm = 4,5ยดยด), about the amoungt I use for 3 cupckes. I used half of the ingredients and got out 1 mini cake and 9 muffins in the end.
When the cakes were cooled, I beat about 250 ml (1 cup) heavy cream and added green food coloring. I think this minty green looks ugly enough :P. Then I placed a good amount of the stuff on top of the cupcakes/cake. Covered them messy. Then put some chocolate eyes on top and added crushed oreos or red colour icing. Sweet, isn’t it? And super easy to make. More scary ideas shall follow. :)
