As I promised, I will give you some ideas for cupcake decorations. The cupcakes below I made following this recipe =>
http://tiny-kitchen-blog.com/?p=222
They are pretty easy to make, as you do not need to be able to use a decorating bag. Just wanted to give you some ideas.
These two you already know. I coloured the dough with blue food coloring and used cake crumbs as an additional decoration.

Those cuites I made for Easter. Just coloured the frosting and put some sweets on top. Done!

And here is the mini mini version of that cupcakes. Made it using aluminium molds for pralinés.

And the last ones for today are devils and angels. I made them because I was very frustrated, because something had not worked as I imagined it. So I called them ‘frupcakes’ :P.

I hope I could inspire you in some way.
I’m so sorry I did not post anything the last 10 days. I was just… busy and tired. But believe me, I baked a lot and you will receive further information this week. However, many things have happened so far and one important of them was my boyfriends 18th birthday. 18. Hard to believe for me. Now he can drive his car without a parent, buy any kind of alcohol, sign all his documents on his own etc. Well, not THAT impressive to me :P. But it is a birthday, still, so why not just celebrate? According to this occasion, I prepared treats as a dessert for the parties, which made me super happy, of course :). The following pictures will show you the result of my work.
The first party was just a small one and besides, my cake was not the only one. So I decided to make a tiny heart cake using the idea of I am baker. A mini cake with a even smaller heart inside – challenge accepted.

The second party included more guests, so I made two things:
A rainbow cake, which was originally made by Whisk kid, but I used the cake recipe of Love and Olive Oil. Between the layers I put less buttercream frosting and decorated it with beaten heavy cream and cake crumbs. It was definitely worth the hard work – seeing all the people watch the colourful layers shining under the white cream… Which made them want a piece at once.

I wanted the other treat to fit the rainbow cake in some way, so I made colourfil muffins with the same cookie crumbs on top of their frosting. I will share the recipe for the vanilla dough with you later this week, as these are my go-to vanilla cupcakes.

Please keep patient, new posts are coming soon.
This week I was on a classtrip at the Baltic Sea! Pretty nice, except the weather. It was cold and it even rained from time to time. Even though, it was fun to spend this time with my classmates as it is our last trip before we are separated in new courses the next year. I will make a post with photos next week, I promise.

But today, I want to share something different with you. I love oreos. Not just eating them as they are, but also creations with them: cake, bark etc. I have already tried making oreo cookies on my own, but they came out too sweet and besides, they could not survive the hot weather some weeks ago. This is why I decided to make oreo muffins. They are one of my favourites and I must admit that their dough is one of the most delicious I have ever made :P. But you’d better concentrate on the baked muffins and not eat too much of the batter as there are raw eggs in it…

The recipe is quite simple and quick and all the oreo-lovers will love the result. If you have some cookies left, you should turn on your oven at once and start baking. :)
Oreo muffins:
(20 – 24 muffins)
10 oreo cookies
300 g (2 ½ cups) flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
200 g (1 cup – 2 tbsp.) sugar
100 g (3 ½ oz) butter at room temperature
2 pck. vanilla sugar or 2 tsp. Vanilla extract
3 eggs, room temperature
160 ml (2/3 cup) milk
Put the oreos in a freezer bag and crumble them with a rolling pin. Set aside until needed. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Set aside. In a bigger bowl, combine the butter, sugar and vanilla. Cream until the muxture becomes lighter and fluffy. Add one egg at a time and stir until it is fully incorporated. Now add the milk and the dry ingredients by turns while stirring in between so the dough stays smooth. Finally add the shredded oreos. Stir just to combine.
Oil a muffin pan or put paper cups into it and fill about 2/3 of the molds with dough. Bake for about 20 minutes.

Enjoy with ice cream, heavy cream or whatever cream. Just enjoy!
